My client for this cake was throwing a vintage airplane themed 1st birthday for her son.  We worked for quite some time coming up with the perfect cake to complement her theme.  She was able to send me a bunch of pictures of items that she was going to use to decorate for the party.  One of these pictures was of her son wearing a little aviation hat.  I decided that this would be the perfect item to replicate on the cake and used that as the bottom layer.  The top layer of the cake was based on another picture that she sent me of the Navy plane insignia.  I topped the cake off with a fondant airplane and rider pulling a banner with Rhett’s name on it.  I absolutely love working closely with my clients to make sure that their cake is the perfect complement to the party!
