My client for this cake was throwing a 1st birthday party for her son.  Since he is so young, she didn’t have a specific theme, all she knew was that her son loved his teddy bear.  For this reason, I topped the cake with one holding the number “1.”  I kept the rest of the cake fairly simple with his name on flags and the very light blues and grays so give a cute but sophisticated look.
