My client for this cake found my shabby chic birthday cake on my website.  She wanted me to recreate this cake, but she only needed about 10-15 servings.  Instead of doing a large 3 tiered cake, I simply did a one layer cake which I accented with a 3-D one and the child’s name.  It still gives the great ruffle look, but at a fraction of the size.
