I designed this cake for my son’s 5th birthday to complement the carnival theme of the party. I used the red, blue, and yellow cake to mirror the color scheme. I accented the cake with all of the foods that people would enjoy at a carnival: cotton candy, popcorn, pretzel, peanut, hot dog, and ice cream cone. I knew that we would probably need more servings, so instead of baking another cake, I decided to complement the cake with themed cupcakes. I decorated them with yellow buttercream and accented them with fondant tickets with Jack’s name or age.
